GARTER ST (back and forth on needle):
K all rows.
SCARF
To fit in all sts work scarf back and forth on circular needle.
Cast on 132 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Kid Silk and work first row as follows (first row = WS): 4 garter sts – see above - M.1A on the next 124 sts (= 4 repeats) and 4 garter sts.
After 1 vertical repeat of M.1A there are 100 sts on row. Now continue in M.1B with 4 garter sts each side until piece measures approx 20 cm (adjust to last row in pattern). Work 1 vertical repeat of M.1C with 4 garter sts each side, and then continue in M.1D with 4 garter sts each side. When piece measures approx 70 cm (adjust so that next row is from RS) work 3 rows garter st on all sts and then slip sts on a stitch holder.
This is one half of the scarf. Knit 1 more piece and graft the 2 pieces together.
