Heel decreases:
Row 1 (= RS): Work row until 6-7-7 sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso, turn piece.
Row 2 (= WS): Work row until 6-7-7 sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to purl, P1, psso, turn piece.
Row 3 (= RS): Work row until 5-6-6 sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to knit, K1, psso, turn piece.
Row 4 (= WS): Work row until 5-6-6 sts left on needle, slip 1 st as if to purl, P1, psso, turn piece.
Continue to dec like this with 1 less st before dec until there are 14-14-16 sts left on needle.
Sock: Knitted in the round on double pointed needles. Cast on 72-76-84 sts on needle size 2.5 mm and work 2 rounds stocking st. Now work 4 cm Rib as follows: K1, P2, K2, repeat from - and finish round with P2, K1. Now work 1 round stocking st and then 1 round Rib as before. Insert a Marking Thread (MT) after K1 at beg of round and before K1 at the end of round (i.e. K2 between MT mid back). Work 1 round stocking st, at the same time dec 6-6-8 sts evenly = 66-70-76 sts. Now complete piece in stocking st. Remember the knitting tension! When piece measures 7-8-8 cm dec 1 st on both sides of K2 mid back on every 2.5 cm a total of 6-6-7 times = 54-58-62 sts. When piece measures 21-23-25 cm keep the first 12-13-14 sts on needle, put the next 30-32-34 sts on a thread (= mid upper foot) and keep the last 12-13-14 sts on needle = 24-26-28 sts for heel. Work 5-5.5-6 cm stocking on heel sts, insert a MT (to measure from) and now make heel dec – see Heel decreases above. Now pick up 13-14-16 sts on either side of heel and put the 30-32-34 sts from thread back on needle = 70-74-82 sts on round. Insert a MT on either side of the 30-32-34 sts mid upper foot and continue in stocking st. At the same time dec each side of heel as follows: K2 tog into back of st before the 30-32-34 sts on upper foot and K2 tog after the 30-32-34 sts on every other round a total of 10-10-11 times = 50-54-60 sts. Continue until piece measures 18-19-21 cm from MT in heel and now insert a MT each side with 26-28-30 sts on upper foot and 24-26-30 sts under foot. Continue in stocking st, at the same time dec 1 st on both sides of each MT on every other round a total of 4-7-9 times and then on every round a total of 6-3-2 times as follows: Before 1 st and MT: K2 tog, after MT and 1 st: K2 tog into back of st = 10-14-16 sts left on round. On next round K tog all sts 2 by 2. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten.

DROPS double pointed needles size 2.5 mm - or size needed to obtain 26 sts x 34 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
Heel: Work 1 row on all heel sts. Now continue in stocking st, at the same time put 1 st on a thread at the end of every row until there are 9-11-11 sts on thread each side = 10-10-12 sts left on needle. Insert a MT in piece. Now continue in stocking st, at the same time put 1 st from thread back on needle at the end of every row. NB! To avoid a hole in transition, pick up 1 new st between needle and thread. On next row K tog the 2 new sts. Continue until there are 30-34-36 sts on needle. Work 1 row on all sts.

Insert 2 new MT, 1 after the first 13-14-15 sts and 1 after 41-44-47 sts (= 28-30-32 sts between the 2 MT = upper foot). Continue in stocking st, at the same time when piece measures 8-9-9 cm from MT on heel dec 2 sts on next round as follows: K tog the last 2 sts before the 28-30-32 sts upper foot into back of st and K tog the first 2 sts after the 28-30-32 sts upper foot = 52-56-60 sts.
For size 35/37 + 38/40: repeat the dec when piece measures 13-14 cm = 50-54 sts.
When piece measures 18-19-21 cm from MT in heel insert a MT each side with 26-28-30 sts on upper foot and 24-26-30 sts under foot. Dec 1 st on both sides of each MT on every other round a total of 4-7-9 times and on every round 6-3-2 times as follows: Before 1 st and MT: K2 tog, after MT and 1 st: K2 tog into back of st = 10-14-16 sts left on round. On next round K tog all sts 2 by 2. Cut the thread, pull through remaining sts and fasten.
