GARTER ST (back and forth):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.
PATTERN
See diagrams A.1 to A.3. The diagrams show all rows in pattern seen from RS.
STOLE
Worked back and forth in 2 parts - from the side and in towards the middle, and sewn tog when finished.
Loosely cast on 105 sts on circular needle size 3.5 mm with Kid-Silk. Work 1 ridge in GARTER ST – see explanation above, then work pattern as follows (1st row = RS): 3 sts in garter st, 1 st in stocking st, A.1 (= 5 sts), A.2 (= 16 sts) 5 times in width, A.3 (= 12 sts), 1 st in stocking st, 3 sts in garter st. When 1st row has been worked, there are 81 sts on needle. On 23rd row dec 12 sts in total = 69 sts on needle. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION When entire diagram A.1-A.3 has been worked vertically, repeat A.X until piece measures 83 cm - adjust after one whole repetition vertically. Work 1 ridge and slip sts on a stitch holder.
Knit another part the same way.
ASSEMBLY
Sew the 2 parts tog with grafting/kitchener stitches to make the seam invisible.
