BLANKET – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE
The piece is worked back and forth, from corner to corner.
BLANKET
Cast on 3 stitches with circular needle size 5 mm and DROPS Air.
Work 1 RIDGE – read description above. Continue back and forth with garter stitch AT THE SAME TIME increase 1 stitch at the beginning of each row by making 1 yarn over after the first stitch. On the next row knit the yarn over twisted (no hole). Repeat the increase on all rows (both right and wrong side) until the piece measures 50-65 cm along each side. REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION!
Work 1 ridge without increasing.
Continue with garter stitch but now work as follows:
ROW 1 (right side): Knit 1, knit 2 twisted together, work until there is 1 stitch left, make 1 yarn over, knit 1.
ROW 2 (wrong side): Knit (without decreasing/increasing and knit the yarn over twisted).
Repeat rows 1 and 2 (the number of stitches remains the same) until the blanket measures 70-80 cm along the longest side.
Continue with garter stitch but now decrease AT THE SAME TIME 1 stitch at the beginning of all rows (both right and wrong side) by knitting 2 twisted together after the first stitch. Repeat the decreases until there are 5 stitches left.
Work the next row from the right side as follows:
Knit 1, slip 1 stitch as if to knit, knit 2 together, pass the slipped stitch over the knitted-together stitches, knit 1 = 3 stitches.
Knit 1 row and cast off with knit.
