The technique MAGIC LOOP can be used – you then only need circular needle of 80 cm in each size.
KNITTING TENSION
26 stitches in width and 34 rows vertically in stocking stitch on needle size 3 mm = 10 x 10 cm.
REMEMBER: Needle size is only a suggestion! If you have too many stitches on 10 cm switch to larger sized needles or if you get too few stitches on 10 cm switch to smaller sized needles.

DECREASE TIP
Decrease 4 stitches on round by decreasing on each side of marker threads as follows:
Work until 2 stitches remain before marker thread, knit 2 together (marker thread is here), slip 1 stitch knitwise, knit 1, pass slipped stitch over stitch worked. Then repeat the decrease at the marker thread in the other side (= 4 stitches decreased).
SOCKS - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE
Piece is worked from the leg down towards toe and work in the round on double pointed needles.
To make room for the heel work short rows over stitches on the heel side of sock, and when desired length has been reached work short rows again so that the heel reaches under the foot. Then work over all stitches again, and when desired length of foot is reached finish by working toes. The heel forms a diagonal line.
If 0 stitches are given for the chosen size, it means that you skip the information and jump to next information.
SOCK
Cast on 64-68-72 stitches on double pointed needles size 2.5 mm with DROPS Fabel. Work rib (= knit 2/purl 2) for 3 cm. Switch to double pointed needles size 3 mm. Knit 1 round while at the same time decreasing 10 stitches evenly = 54-58-62 stitches.
Continue in stocking stitch. Remember to follow the knitting tension!
When piece measures 11-13-15 cm, keep the first 27-29-31 stitches on needle for heel, and slip the last 27-29-31 stitches on 1 thread (= mid on top of foot).
DIAGONAL HEEL
Now work only over heel stitches.
Knit until 1 stitch remain on needle. Turn piece. Purl this until 1 stitch remains on needle. Turn piece.
Continue in stocking stitch and work 1 stitch less for every turn until 9-9-10 turns have been done in each side of piece (there are 9-9-10 stitches that have not been worked in each side, and 9-11-11 stitches in the middle of needle).
Insert 1 marker in the middle of the last row worked, use marker for measuring later.
Continue back and forth but now work 1 stitch more for every row instead of 1 stitch less (this applies from both right and wrong side as before). To avoid holes in every transition at the turns, lift the horizontal strand before the new stitch and slip it twisted on to the needle. Work this strand together with next stitch on left needle (from right side knit strand and stitch together and from wrong side purl strand and stitch together). Work like this until all heel stitches have been worked.
FOOT
Slip stitches from thread back on needle = 54-58-62 stitches, and work in the round until piece measures 18-19-21 cm from marker on heel - measured under foot (= 4-5-6 cm remain until finished measurements).
TOE
Insert 1 marker thread in each side of sock so that there are 27-29-31 stitches both on top of foot and under foot. Work in stocking stitch - AT THE SAME TIME on first round decrease for toes on each side of both marker threads - read DECREASE TIP-2(= 4 stitches decreased). Decrease like this on every other round 4-7-9 times in total, and then on every round 6-3-2 times in total = 14-18-18 stitches. On next round knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 7-9-9 stitches. Cut the yarn and pull yarn through stitches, tighten together and fasten. The sock measures approx. 22-24-27 cm from marker on heel - measured under foot.
