150 g colour no 35, vanilla
150 g colour no 01, apricot
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (60 cm) SIZE 4.5 mm - or size needed to get 18 sts x 23 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.

GARTER ST (back and forth):
K all rows. 1 ridge = 2 rows K.
PATTERN
See diagram A.1. The diagram shows all rows in pattern seen from RS.
TOWEL
Worked back and forth on circular needle. Work 1 towel in each of the colours.
Cast on 56 sts on circular needle size 4.5 mm with vanilla. Work 2 ridges in GARTER ST - see explanation above. Work 2 rows in stocking st with 4 st in garter st in each side (1st row = RS). REMEMBER THE KNITTING TENSION Now work pattern as follows: Work 4 sts in garter st, A.1 (= 8 sts) 6 times in width, 4 sts in garter st. Continue like this until piece measures approx. 43 cm - stopping after 2nd row in pattern so that pattern beg and ends the same. Now work 2 rows in stocking st with 4 sts in garter st in each side. Work 2 ridges. Then work next row with inlaid loop as follows: Work until 2 sts remain on row. Before the last 2 sts, cast on 12 new sts, then K the last 2 sts on needle tog. On next row cast off all sts with P (incl the new sts for loop).
Make sure that the cast-off edge is not too tight.
Work another towel in apricot.
