HAT - SHORT SUMMARY OF GARMENT
Work piece in the round on double pointed needles or a short circular needle, bottom up. Switch to double pointed needles when needed.
HAT
Cast on 76-84-88-92 (100-104) stitches on double pointed needles or a short circular needle size 3.5 mm with DROPS Merino Extra Fine.
Work rib (= knit 2/purl 2).
When hat measures 17-18-19-21 (21-22) cm, work next round as follows:
Work A.1 9-10-11-11 (12-13) times in total around the hat and finish with the 4-4-0-4 (4-0) first stitches in A.1.
When A.1 has been worked 1 time vertically, there are 38-42-44-46 (50-52) stitches on needle.
Decrease as follows:
ROUND 1: * Knit 2 together, knit 2 , work from - until 2-2-0-2 (2-0) stitches remain and finish with knit 2-2-0-2 (2-0) = 29-32-33-35 (38-39) stitches.
ROUND 2: Knit all stitches.
ROUND 3: * Knit 1, knit 2 together, work from - until 2-2-0-2 (2-0) stitches remain and finish with knit 2-2-0-2 (2-0) = 20-22-22-24 (26-26) stitches.
ROUND 4: Knit all stitches together 2 by 2 = 10-11-11-12 (13-13) stitches.
Cut the yarn and pull it through the remaining stitches, tighten together and fasten. Hat measures approx. 22-23-24-26 (26-27) cm from top and down.
Fold the bottom 7 cm, for a double or single folding edge. If you fold it double, sew a couple of stitches so that the double edge is held up.
