POT-HOLDER – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE

The piece is worked in the round with circular needle, bottom up. A small loop is worked to finish, before the piece is sewn together top and bottom.

POT-HOLDER

Cast on 80 stitches with circular needle size 3 mm and colour Dark Ivy DROPS Cotton Light.
Purl 1 round. Insert 1 marker in the first stitch and 1 marker in the 41st stitch on the round (= sides). Work A.1, 2 times on the round.
Remember to maintain the knitting tension.
Continue as follows with colour Dark Ivy: Purl 1 round, then cast on 24 stitches at the end of the round = 104 stitches.
Turn, cast off the 24 cast-on stitches, then cast off the remaining 80 stitches with purl from the wrong side. Fold the pot-holder double, with the marker-stitches positioned on each side. Sew the piece neatly together top and bottom with small stitches, sewing inside the cast-on and cast-off edges. Sew the end of the 24 loop-stitches to the corner of the pot-holder.
