For 2 pot holders:
150 g colour no 35, vanilla
100 g colour no 16, white
50 g colour no 38, raspberry
DROPS CIRCULAR NEEDLE (40 cm) size 4 mm - or size needed to get 19 sts x 25 rows in stocking st = 10 x 10 cm.
DROPS CROCHET HOOK size 4 mm – for crochet border.

PATTERN
See diagram M.1 (= 40 sts). Diagram shows the pattern from RS.
POT HOLDER
Worked in the round.
Cast on 80 sts on circular needle size 4 mm with vanilla. K 2 rounds. Insert 2 markers in piece, 1 in the first st and 1 in the 41st st (= the sides). Continue in M.1 - see above = 2 repeats across the round. After 1 vertical repeat of M.1 cast off with vanilla.
CROCHET BORDER
Crochet with crochet hook size 4 mm and vanilla. Place piece double - see folding edge in diagram. Beg in the top left hand corner and crochet round the edge of pot holder through both layers as follows:
ROUND 1: 1 dc in corner, * skip 1 cm, 1 dc , repeat from - all the way round, finish with 14 ch for strap and 1 sl st in dc from beg of round.
ROUND 2: * 3 ch, 1 dc in the first of the 3 ch (= 1 picot), skip 1 dc, 1 dc in next dc , repeat from - all the way round, finish with 14 dc round the strap and 1 sl st in sl st from previous round. Cut and fasten thread.
