CROCHET INFO
Beg every row with tr with 3 ch (not counted as first tr). Beg every row with dc with 1 ch (not counted as first dc).
TR-GROUP IN TR
- Work 3 tr tog as follows: Work 1 tr in next tr but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), work 2 tr more the same way in the same tr, pull thread through all 4 sts on hook , work 3 ch, repeat from -* 1 more time in same tr.
FAN PATTERN
Work 2 ch, skip 2 ch, work 1 tr-group around next ch-space (i.e. around ch-space in the middle of tr-group) as follows: * Work 3 tr tog, i.e. work 1 tr around next ch-space but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), work 2 tr more the same way around same ch-space, pull thread through all 4 sts on hook , work 3 ch, repeat from -* 1 more time around same ch-space, 2 ch, skip 2 ch.
DIAGRAM A.1.
In A.1 repeat A.y as follows:
ROW 2 (= WS): * 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr, then work fan pattern , repeat from - 10 times in total.
ROW 3 (= RS): * Work fan pattern, then 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr , repeat from - 10 times in total.
Repeat these 2 rows until finished measurements.
SHAWL
Work 167 LOOSE ch (incl 3 ch to turn with) on hook size 3.5 mm with BabyAlpaca Silk.
Work 3 tr in 4th ch from hook, * 1 tr in each of the first/next 5 ch, skip 1 ch , repeat from - until 1 ch remains, 3 tr in last ch = 141 tr - READ CROCHET INFO. Then work as follows:
ROW 1 (= RS): Work A.2 as follows: Work 5 tr in first tr, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, in next tr work TR-GROUP IN TR – see explanation above, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, work 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr, then work A.1 as follows: * 2 ch, skip 3 tr, work tr-group in next tr, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr , repeat from - (= A.1) 10 times in total, then work A.3 as follows: 2 ch, skip 3 tr, 1 tr-group in next tr, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, 5 tr in last tr = 12 fans in total on row.
ROW 2 (= WS): Work A.3 as follows: Work 3 tr in first tr, 1 tr in each of the next 3 tr, 3 tr in next tr, work FAN PATTERN - see explanation above - 1 time, work DIAGRAM A.1 – see explanation above, work A.2 as follows: 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr, work fan pattern 1 time, 3 tr in next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 3 tr, 3 tr in last tr. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
ROW 3: Work A.2 as follows: Work 3 tr in first tr, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, 1 tr-group in next tr, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, 3 tr in next tr, work fan pattern as before, 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr, work A.y (= A.1), work A.3 as follows: Work fan pattern as before, 3 tr in next tr, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, work tr-group in next tr, 2 ch, skip 3 tr, 3 tr in last tr.
Work A.3 and A.2 over the outermost tr and A.y (= A.1) over the middle sts as before. When A.z has been worked 1 time vertically, repeat A.z until finished measurements. I.e. there are 5 tr between every fan pattern. When A.x has been worked 1 time vertically, repeat A.x over the outermost 3 tr until finished measurements. Continue with fan pattern over fan pattern and 1 tr in every tr over the remaining sts. I.e. there is 1 fan pattern more for every time A.x is repeated and 1 fan pattern more when A.z is repeated. Continue like this until piece measures approx. 35 cm - adjust to finish after 2nd row in A.z.
EDGE
Work a finishing edge at the bottom of shawl, beg from WS: Work 1 ch, work A.6 as follows over A.x: * 1 dc in first/next tr, 2 ch, skip 1 tr, work tr-group in tr in next tr, 2 ch, skip 1 tr, 1 dc in next tr , repeat from -* over A.x. Over fans already started, work fan pattern as before. NOTE: Adjust so that fan pattern continues over fan pattern. Then work A.5 over A.z (= A.3), work A.6 over A.z (= A.1), A.4 over A.z (= A.2), repeat A.6 to A.x, continue with A.6 over A.x. NOTE: Adjust so that fan pattern continue over fan pattern and to finish with 1 dc in last tr. Fasten off.
PATTERN
See diagrams A.7-A.8.
CROCHET INFO
Beg every round with tr with 3 ch (do not replace first tr) and finish with 1 sl st in 3rd ch at beg of round.
TR-GROUP IN TR
- Work 3 tr tog as follows: Work 1 tr in next tr but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), work 2 tr more the same way in the same tr, pull thread through all 4 sts on hook , skip 3 tr, repeat from -* 1 more time.
FAN PATTERN
Work 3 ch, * work 1 tr-group around first/next ch-space as follows: Work 3 tr tog, i.e. work 1 tr around next ch-space but wait with last pull through (= 2 sts on hook), work 2 tr more the same way around same ch-space, pull thread through all 4 sts on hook , repeat from -* around next ch-space, work 3 ch.
INCREASE TIP
Inc 1 tr by working 2 tr in same tr.
HAT
The piece is worked top down. Crochet 4 ch on hook size 3 mm with BabyAlpaca Silk and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Work 12 tr in ch-ring – read CROCHET INFO. Then work A.7 6 times in total as follows:
ROUND 1: Work 2 tr in every tr = 24 tr.
ROUND 2: Work * 1 tr in first/next tr, 2 tr in next tr , repeat from - 12 times in total = 36 tr.
ROUND 3: Work * 1 tr in each of the first/next 2 tr, 2 tr in next tr , repeat from - 12 times in total = 48 tr. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
ROUND 4: Work * 3 tr in first/next tr, work 3 ch, skip 1 tr, work TR-GROUP IN TR – see explanation above, 3 ch, skip 1 tr , repeat from - 6 times in total. = 6 fan patterns and 18 tr.
ROUND 5: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in next tr, 2 tr in next tr, work FAN PATTERN - see explanation above (1 time) , repeat from - 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 30 tr.
ROUND 6: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 3 tr, 2 tr in next tr, work fan pattern as before , repeat from - 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 42 tr.
ROUND 7: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 5 tr, 2 tr in next tr, work fan pattern as before , repeat from - 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 54 tr.
ROUND 8: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 7 tr, 2 tr in next tr, work fan pattern as before , repeat from -* 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 66 tr. A.7 is now done in size S/M.
Now work differently in the different sizes as follows:
SIZE S/M
ROUND 9: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 10 tr and fan pattern as before , repeat from -* 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 12 tr between every pattern (= 72 tr in total).
SIZE M/L
ROUND 9: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 9 tr, 2 tr in next tr, fan pattern as before , repeat from -* 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 13 tr between every pattern (= 78 tr in total). A.7 is now done in size M/L.
SIZE L/XL
ROUND 9: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 9 tr, 2 tr in next tr, fan pattern as before , repeat from - 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 78 tr. A.7 is now done in size L/XL.
ROUND 10: Work * 2 tr in first/next tr, 1 tr in each of the next 12 tr and fan pattern as before , repeat from - 6 times in total = 6 fan patterns and 14 tr between every pattern (= 84 tr in total).
ALL SIZES
= 72-78-84 tr. Then work 1 tr in every tr and fan pattern as before. When piece measures 16-16-18 cm, work 1 tr in every tr AT THE SAME TIME inc 4-2-2 tr evenly - READ INCREASE TIP and above fan pattern work A.8 as follows: Work 3 tr around first ch-space, 1 tr in next fan, 3 tr around next ch-space = 118-122-128 tr. Then work 1 tr in every tr until piece measures 24-25-26 cm. Fasten off.
PATTERN
See diagrams A.9-A.12.
CROCHET INFO

WRIST WARMERS
Worked in the round. Work 48-54 loose ch on hook size 3 mm with BabyAlpaca Silk and form a ring with 1 sl st in first ch. Work 3 ch, * 1 tr in each of the first 5 ch, skip 1 ch , repeat from - the entire round - READ CROCHET INFO = 40-45 tr. Then work as follows: Work 1 tr in each of the first 14-7 tr, A.9 over the next 7 tr, A.10 over the next 5 tr, A.9 over the next 7 tr, A.10 over the next 0-5 tr, A.9 over the next 0-7 tr, finish with 1 tr in each of the last 7 tr
= 2-3 fan patterns. REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION! Repeat A.a vertically. Continue pattern like this until piece measures 12 cm. Then work as follows: Work A.11 over the first 7-0 tr, work A.12 over the next 7 tr, A.b over A.9/A.10, A.11 over the last 7 tr = 6-7 fans on round. Work A.11-A.12 and A.b 1 time vertically. Piece measures approx. 16 cm. Fasten off. Work an edge around the first ch-row as follows: 1 dc in first ch, * 1 ch, 1 dc in next ch , repeat from - and finish with 1 sl st in first dc. Fasten off. Work another wrist warmer the same way.
