Materials
- Tandem from Tahki Yarns (107 yds per 50g): approx. 535 yards required (color shown: 005 coral reef)
- Suggested hook: K (6.5mm)
- Yarn needle (for weaving ends)
Gauge
In stitch pattern, 15 sts for 14 rows measures 4″
It’s important to keep your stitching tension loose for this project so that there is some stretch and it blocks out. I blocked it out lengthwise to smooth out and set the stitches. If you would like your project longer, simply add more rows (more yardage would be required).
Skill Level
This is an easy stitch pattern. Perhaps not a first time project, but definitely suitable for an advanced beginner.
Pattern Note

The multiple of this stitch pattern is “4+6”. Add or subtract any multiple of 4 to the initial stitch count to increase or decrease the width.
Special Stitches
Cluster (cl): Yarn over, insert hook in ch-4 space indicated, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (partial dc made), [yarn over] twice, insert hook in stitch indicated, yarn over, pull loop through, [yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook] twice (partial tr made), yarn over, insert hook in ch-4 space indicated, yarn over, pull loop through, yarn over, pull through 2 loops on hook (partial dc made), yarn over pull through 4 loops on hook.
End Cluster (end cl): Partial dc in ch-4 sp indicated, partial tr in stitch indicated, yarn over, pull through 3 loops on hook.
Crochet Pattern Instructions
Row 1: Ch 58, sc in second ch from hook, *ch 4, sk 3 ch, sc in next ch, rep from * across, turn–14 ch-4 sps.
Row 2: Ch 4, dc in ch-4 sp, *ch 4, cl (see Special Stitches) with partial dc in same ch-4 sp, partial tr in sc, and partial dc in next ch-4 sp, rep from * 12 times more, ch 4, end cl (see Special Stitches) with partial dc in same ch-4 sp and partial tr in last sc, turn–13 cl (not including end cl or stitches at the beginning).
Row 3: Ch 4, dc in ch-4 sp, *ch 4, cl with partial dc in same ch-4 sp, partial tr in top of cl, and partial dc in next ch-4 sp, rep from * 12 times more, ch 4, end cl with partial dc in same ch-4 sp and partial tr in top of beg ch-4, turn.
Rows 4-51: Rep row 3. Fasten off.
Finishing
Blocking is recommended for all natural fibers. For this wrap, I wet it in lukewarm water completely and squeezed out some of the water gently. I rolled it in a dry towel to remove as much excess water as possible. I placed the project on another dry towel and shaped it then allowed to dry.
With yarn needle, weave in loose ends carefully.
