PATTERN
See diagrams A.1 to A.4.
CROCHET INFORMATION
At the beginning of each row starting with double-treble crochets work 7 chain stitches (replaces the first double-treble crochet). On the next row work the last double-treble crochet around the 7 chain stitches.
SHAWL - SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE
The piece is worked back and forth, top down.
SHAWL
Using hook size 4.5 mm and DROPS Cotton Merino, read CROCHET INFORMATION, and work pattern according to A.1 (first row is from the wrong side).
When A.1 has been completed in height there are 11 treble/double-treble crochets.
Continue pattern as follows:
Work A.2 over the first stitch, A.3 over the next 8 stitches and A.4 over the last 2 stitches.
REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
Repeat this pattern in height.
Each time the pattern is repeated in height, there is room for 3 more repeats of A.3 in width. Continue working until the piece measures approx. 60 cm, measured down the middle. Finish after a row of treble crochets. Cut and fasten the strand.
Diagram
= Start here! Work 4 chain stitches and form them into a ring with 1 slip stitch in the first chain stitch
= double-treble crochet in stitch below/around chain-stitch ring
= treble crochet in stitch below
= treble crochet around chain stitch below
= chain stitch - if you work outermost on the hook the chain stitch will often be too tight; 1 chain stitch should be as long as 1 treble/double-treble crochet is wide.
= bobble: * make 1 yarn over, insert the hook through the stitch below, make 1 yarn over and pull it through the stitch, extend both yarn overs (to avoid the bobble being narrow and compact it is important to pull the yarn overs to approx.1 treble crochet in height) , work from -* a total of 6 times, make 1 yarn over and pull it through all 13 loops on the hook
= half-treble crochet
= this row has already been worked; shows how the next row is worked in the chain stitches
