Materials
- Drops Alpaca Boucle, 50g/153 yards, 3 balls (or approximately 459 yds of comparable size 4 yarn)
- 8.0 mm (L)
- Yarn needle
Finished Size
12″ x 60″
Gauge
In stitch pattern, 13 sts measures 4″
Special Stitches
Back Loop Single Crochet (BLsc): Working in the top loop furthest away from you, make single crochet.
Front Loop Single Crochet (FLsc): Working in the top loop closest to you, make single crochet.
Notes
The yarn used for this wrap isn’t the easiest. You need to stitch quite loosely and you have to use feel most of the time instead of sight. It is well worth the end result. Try to count the stitches in every row to ensure that you have the correct number. The stitch count is the important thing.
I was able to find this yarn at Amazon.
This pattern works perfectly fine for a scarf as well.
Crochet Pattern Instructions
Row 1: Ch 40, sc in second ch from hook and in each remaining ch, turn: 39 sc.
Row 2: Ch 1, BLsc (see Special Stitches above) in first sc, [FLsc (see Special Stitches above) in next sc, BLsc in next sc] to last 2 sc, FLsc in next sc, working in both loops, regular sc in last sc, turn: 39 sc.
Rep row 2 until desired length (about 60 inches), fasten off.
Finishing
Weave in all ends securely.
