CLOTH – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE
The piece is worked bottom up, back and forth.
CLOTH
Cast on 46 stitches with needle size 4.5 mm and DROPS Paris.
Work 3 ridges – read GARTER STITCH above (row 1 = wrong side). Then work as follows:
ROW 1 (wrong side): Work 3 garter stitches, * knit 4, purl 2 , work from - until there are 7 stitches left, knit 4, 3 garter stitches.
ROW 2 (right side): Work 3 garter stitches, knit over knit and purl over purl until there are 3 stitches left, 3 garter stitches.
ROW 3 (wrong side): Work 3 garter stitches, knit over knit and purl over purl until there are 3 stitches left, 3 garter stitches.
ROW 4 (right side): Knit.
ROW 5 (wrong side): Work 3 garter stitches, knit 1, * purl 2, knit 4 , work from - until there are 6 stitches left, purl 2, knit 1, 3 garter stitches.
ROW 6 (right side): Work 3 garter stitches, knit over knit and purl over purl until there are 3 stitches left, 3 garter stitches.
ROW 7 (wrong side): Work 3 garter stitches, knit over knit and purl over purl until there are 3 stitches left, 3 garter stitches.
ROW 8 (right side): Knit.
Work ROWS 1-8 a total of 6 times. Remember to maintain the knitting tension.
Work 2 ridges.
Cast off with knit. Cut and fasten the strand.
