PLACE MAT – SHORT OVERVIEW OF THE PIECE
The piece is worked in the round, from the middle outwards.

Using crochet hook size 3.5 mm and Belle or Muskat (read CROCHET INFORMATION and CHAIN STITCH above) work a chain-stitch ring as described in the diagram, then work A.1 a total of 12 times around the ring.
REMEMBER THE CROCHET TENSION!
When diagram A.1 has been completed, there are 168 treble crochets on the round. Now work A.2 – the first round in A.2 shows the last round in A.1. Diagram A.2 is worked a total of 21 times on the round. Work A.2 one time in height (= 3 rounds).
Cut and fasten the strand.
