SHAWL: Work 74 ch (includes 1 ch to turn with) with crochet hook size 5 mm and 1 thread of each quality (= 2 threads). Turn and work 1 dc in second ch from hook, then 1 dc in each ch = 73 dc. Continue in pattern as follows – see diagram, beg by arrow: M.1A (= 8 sts), M.1B on the next 56 sts, finish with M.1C (= 9 sts). Repeat the rows in M.1 until piece measures approx 120 cm (finish after row 4 or row 8 in diagram). Cut the thread and fasten.
