Finished Size
17″ x 72″
If you prefer about a 19″ height, start with a chain of 56 and the completed length will be approximately 64″ with a single ball of yarn.
If you prefer about a 22″ height, start with a chain of 62 and the completed length will be approximately 56″ with a single ball of yarn.

- Lion Brand Shawl in a Ball, 518 yds per 150g, aran weight, cotton/acrylic blend, one ball, shown in color Community Coral
- Suggested hook size: L-11 [8mm]
- Needle (for weaving ends)

Notes
This is a rectangular wrap, worked from short end to short end.
Gauge
In stitch pattern, 11 sts for 5 rows measures 4″ square. (Each 6-stitch repeat is just shy of 2.5″)
Special Stitches
Fan (fan): [Dc, ch 1, dc, ch 1, dc] in same indicated st or ch.
Shell (sh): [Sc, ch 3, sc] in same indicated st or ch.
Stitch Multiple
Any multiple of 6, then add 8.
Crochet Pattern Instructions
Row 1: Ch 50, sc in second ch from hook, *sk 2 ch, fan in next ch, sk 2 ch, sh in next ch, rep from * to last 6 ch, sk 2 ch, fan in next ch, sk 2 ch, sc in last ch, turn: 8 fans and 7 sh.
Row 2: Ch 7, *sh in second dc of fan, ch 3, dc in ch-3 sp of sh, ch 3, rep from * to last fan, sh in second dc of fan, ch 3, tr in last sc, turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, sc in tr, *fan in ch-3 sp of sh, sk remainder of sh, sh in dc, rep from * to last sh, fan in ch-3 sp of sh, sc in beg ch-7 sp, turn.
Rows 4-89: Rep rows 2-3, fasten off.
Finishing
With yarn needle, sew in ends carefully. Block, if desired.
